Choosing the Right Home for You

If you’re considering buying a home in the Lake Chelan area, we already know you have great taste. But even with impeccable taste, choosing the home that’s right for you can often be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of the most important factors to consider when looking for your new home!

The Location

Location, location, location. While we think everywhere in the Lake Chelan Valley and surrounding areas is picture-perfect, there may be a location that works better for you. Want to be closer to downtown Chelan or Manson so you have easy access to restaurants, nightlife, and shopping? Hoping for wide-open spaces and plenty of privacy? You can change a lot about a house after you buy it, but you can’t change the location. Make sure you’ve got a solid foundation for your house hunt by picking an area that’s right for you.

The Property

Once you’ve narrowed down your general location, think about the features you’d like the property to have. A big yard for the kids to play in? An enclosed space yard so your pets can run free? Is it perched on a hill overlooking the lake or nestled in some trees for peaceful retreat vibes? Dreaming of having your own pool or hot tub? Whatever you decide, we’re behind you 100%.

The Neighborhood

The Lake Chelan Valley is home to some of the friendliest people around and we are speaking from experience. Each neighborhood has its own unique personality and we encourage you to take the time to explore each area and meet with the neighboring homeowners to get a feel for what having a home there might be like.

Curb Appeal

When you close your eyes and imagine yourself pulling up to the driveway of your new home, what do you see? Our goal is to help you find the perfect home to match your vision and goals. You might be drawn to a home with a modern aesthetic or perhaps you envision a more traditional or classic style home. Your vision might include a homestead with acreage, a property with a lush, well-manicured yard, a homesite surrounded by mature orchards, vineyards and/or gardens, or something simple and low maintenance. These preferences are very personal and we’re here to help you make the choice that’s right for you.

Size

It can be easy to daydream about the endless possibilities that a new house brings. Guest rooms, office spaces, and game rooms can all be so tantalizing but let’s step back and think practically for a second; how many bedrooms and bathrooms do you really need to create a place for friends and family to gather? When thinking about creating the perfect second home/vacation home getaway, we’ve found that multipurpose media spaces, creative and functional bathrooms, and bunk rooms are always a hit. There are no right answers to these questions, just answers that work best for you. Think about how your new space will be used and how it will fit into your lifestyle!
